Gebhardt-Stahl GmbH reports that Gebhardt Group has signed an agreement to acquire Hermanussen Metallverarbeitung GmbH, a European manufacturer of cold-formed steel profiles. The purchase price and terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The acquisition is in line with Gebhardt Group’s growth strategy and represents the group’s fifth transaction involving Bencis Capital Partners and the Gebhardt Family Foundation following previous acquisitions in Europe.
Hermanussen has been operating in the field of cold-formed profiles for more than 50 years and specialises in development, manufacturing and sales. The company serves customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe and currently employs 46 people.
Hermanussen’s product range complements the Gebhardt Group portfolio, particularly in the segments of PVC windows and air ducting. The company also attracts new customer groups through noise protection systems, fencing and privacy screens.
Following the transaction, Gebhardt Group is forming an integrated group of companies in the field of cold-formed profiles and stamped components. The combined competencies cover development, manufacturing, logistics and sales in several European countries.
Ralf Dahmer, CEO of Gebhardt Group, noted that both companies share common values and compatible business models. According to him, the product portfolios complement each other well and provide a basis for further expansion of customer opportunities.
