Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH has announced an expansion of the capabilities of its Roto Patio Lift lift-and-slide hardware. The system now operates with sashes weighing up to 400 kg.
The hardware is compatible with aluminium and PVC profiles. The manufacturer has also adapted it for modern narrow profiles frequently used in contemporary architecture.
Roto Patio Lift is used in lift-and-slide doors of various formats. The system is suitable both for lighter elements with sash weights starting from 150 kg and for large constructions with massive insulating glass units.
For demanding operating conditions, the company offers Stainless Steel Plus roller mechanisms. They include stainless steel bearings and provide increased corrosion protection. According to the company, salt spray testing confirmed the mechanism’s resistance for 1,000 hours.
The hardware also incorporates the DesignLocking locking mechanism. The locking element is positioned inside the shootbolt, so it does not protrude into the accessible area. This design simplifies profile machining and reduces production time.
The system supports additional burglary protection components. Manufacturers can achieve RC 2 security level using an anti-lift device, drilling protection and a lockable handle.
