Brand Veka has completed an investment in its Polish plant in Skierniewice. The company, which produces PVC profiles, has expanded its foiling division. The company announced this on its Facebook page.
The plant has been supplemented with a new social and administrative building to increase employee comfort. The new building will also house the entire operational planning team - extrusion and foiling.
In about six months, the new complex is expected to have modern equipment for profile shredding installed. It will almost completely replace the existing equipment. This investment is aimed at improving PVC recycling, a task that remains important. Window brands are trying to increase their share of recycled PVC as part of their sustainability efforts. Rehau, for example, has optimised the recycling of old windows in Germany to almost exact separation.
