Ukrainian edition of RAL installation manual to be published in 2024

WKC Installer 5.0
In 2024, the Ukrainian edition of the RAL installation guidelines will be released. This is a joint project of ift Rosenheim and WINDO KYIV. The announcement of the translation of the "Guideline for installation of windows and external pedestrian doors" took place during the WKC Installer 5.0 online conference.

ift Rosenheim, in collaboration with the RAL Quality Association, has been working on improving installation guidelines for over 30 years. Every 5-6 years, the manual is planned for an update, as technologies are constantly evolving. Over the years, the book has become a bible for German installers. As reported in his presentation by the certified engineer of ift Rosenheim, Jürgen Benitz-Wildenburg, it is even used in German courts to determine the quality of construction installation.
In 2024, Ukrainian professionals will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Ukrainian translation of the "Guideline for installation of windows and external pedestrian doors."

In fact, this book serves as the foundation for performing high-quality installation work and covers the following:
  • General requirements.
  • Work planning.
  • Building physics.
Protection against moisture, noise, thermal insulation, etc.
  • Sealing.
  • Fastening.
  • Practical work execution tips.
This section is aimed directly at installers.
  • Examples of work execution.

As announced during the presentation, the Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures plans to introduce a training system for installers after publishing the book, and then develop and implement a certification system for installers.

For reference:
The Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures is the first window association in Ukraine. Currently, the Windo Kyiv team is working on revitalising its operations.
