The Austrian company LiSEC, a manufacturer of glass processing equipment, has announced the integration of cericom GmbH into its LiSEC laser processing division. This expands the company's technological capabilities and strengthens its market position. cericom GmbH, which specialises in laser technology and precision glass processing, was already part of the LiSEC Group.
LiSEC laser processing enables etching, structural coating application, and the non-contact drilling of complex shapes. The technology also allows for the production of bird-safe glass. The laser alters the transparency and reflectivity of glass, helping birds recognise obstacles and avoid collisions. This reduces human impact on ecosystems while preserving the aesthetics of buildings.
As of December 2024, cericom Laser has been fully integrated into the LiSEC Group. The company has been known for its developments in glass laser processing since 2002. This integration allows LiSEC to expand its capabilities and offer comprehensive glass processing technologies for architecture and design.
