PRESS GLASS introduces insulating glass units with built-in alarm system

The European insulating glass manufacturer PRESS GLASS Holding SA, founded in Poland, has developed AlarmShield glass units with an alarm circuit. They integrate into the security systems of residential and commercial buildings.

AlarmShield glass units feature a signal circuit printed onto the glass surface. This forms an electrical loop that breaks when the glass shatters, instantly activating the alarm.

OKNA.ua reminds that window alarms alone do not provide protection. Secure windows are part of a comprehensive home security system, ensuring intruders cannot enter through a window even without breaking the glass unit.

The alarm circuit can be positioned in two ways:

• At the edge of the glass – concealed under the seal in the frame after installation.
• On the visible part – in the corner of the glass, similar to tempered glass markings.

AlarmShield glass units are available in single- and double-glazed versions.
