Foppe + Foppe, specializing in aluminium facades, and Veka have combined their developments to combine aluminium with PVC in facades. The results of the partnership were announced on the Foppe + Foppe website.
VEKA AluConnect is a thermally separated profile in which two aluminium profiles are joined together in a shear-resistant way using a PVC core. The AluConnect element has been integrated into the Foppe's thin aluminium profile SGF 30. Thanks to the 30 mm width of the front surface, the company calls the profile the thinnest facade on the European market.
The development of the AluConnect element for the narrow SGF 30 façade took time. It took about two years from the first contact between the two companies to the presentation of the sample on the Foppe stand at Fensterbau Frontale 2022.
Foppe notes that AluConnect elements allow an energy-efficient modernization of the facade. The SGF30 system can be used as a classic facade, for glass roofs, winter gardens or roofs for terraces.
