Deceuninck, a manufacturer of PVC profiles, has opened a new production plant in Donja Bistra, Croatia (near Zagreb). According to a press release, the new plant covers an area of 17,000 m2.
Deceuninck has been operating in Croatia since 2004 and had production and storage facilities in three locations. The purpose of the new construction was to combine warehouses, production, management, and administration into one location. The investment totalled around €7 million.
Deceuninck calls the new facility the largest PVC profile lamination plant in this part of Europe. In total, the company applies more 8 million metres of film to PVC profiles in its production facilities for the European markets. Colour diversity in building structures has become a global trend. Brands are constantly improving their range of colours. And Rehau has started moving towards sustainable solutions. From April 2023, it will use water-based varnishes.
The new factory has increased Deceuninck’s capacity of 11 production lines. It was built under modern sustainability requirements and received an A+ energy certificate. In addition, a solar power plant is planned to be built at the production site.
