The first competition for mini-grants for Ukrainian micro businesses has been launched

Ukrainian companies can apply for a mini-grant under the EU4Business initiative on the Diia platform. The amount of assistance will be up to UAH 160,000 (EUR 4,000). It is intended to help micro-entrepreneurs resume production.

The applicant must meet the following criteria:
  • An individual entrepreneur or a legal entity that is a micro business;
  • up to 9 employees;
  • annual income of no more than EUR 2 million.

Businesses must be founded by Ukrainian citizens and have a KVED from the approved list ↗️(ua). These include the following:
  • 25.12 Manufacture of metal doors and windows
  • 32.99 Manufacture of other products, n.e.c.
  • 23.12 Forming and processing of sheet glass
  • 23.19 Manufacture and processing of other glass products, including technical glass products
  • 43.32 Installation of joinery
  • 43.99 Other specialised building work, n.e.c.
  • 71.11 Activities in the field of architecture

The funds should be used to restore production. This includes a wide range of purposes, from job preservation, and procurement of equipment, raw materials and supplies to consulting services, etc.

The total assistance fund is designed for 750 enterprises and will be distributed through three competitions. The application for the first competition must be submitted by 21 August 2023↗️ (ua). It is open to companies registered in the following regions: Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv (except Kyiv city), Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, and Kherson.

They will hold the second competition from 22 August to 4 September 2023. Companies from Kyiv region (except for Kyiv city), Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Sumy and other regions that will be reoccupied at the time of application will participate.

They will hold the third competition from 5 September to 18 September 2023 for companies from all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories.
