In early October, two Ukrainian laboratories received equipment for testing the air and moisture permeability and wind resistance of transparent structures. This project became possible thanks to the public initiative of UNIDO and the Association of Window and Façade Market Participants (AUROF).
Two modern testing stands were provided to "BM-Test" in Rivne and "Kryvbasstandartmetrolohiia" in Kryvyi Rih. Currently, work is underway to set up and prepare the equipment at the production subsidiary of ift Rosenheim MessTec.
As specified by the representative of ift Rosenheim in Ukraine, Oleksii Bubnov, the stand allows for testing structures of 3000x3970 mm.
This is the first step towards implementing the European conformity assessment system in the window industry. It is also necessary to work on recognizing the test protocols of Ukrainian laboratories in EU countries.
The successful implementation of the project for window and door testing was made possible through the persistent efforts of Radmila Ustych, Pavel Ladetskyi (UNIDO), Oleksii Bubnov (AUROF, ift Rosenheim) and Stephan Lechne, Michaela Rudnik (MessTec).
