WKC VI: Frontale Edition will discuss the impact of PVC window recycling on reducing CO2 emissions

WKC VI: Frontale Edition, online
The EU has revised the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Now, the Global Warming Potential (GWP) must be disclosed in Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for new buildings and buildings after major renovation. These changes aim to assess the life cycle of buildings, transition to sustainable and circular buildings, and understand the impact of the construction sector on climate change.

You can learn more about the impact of plastic window recycling on CO2 emissions reduction at the online conference WKC VI: Frontale Edition, dedicated to global trends in the window business.

Marek Karwowski, the General Director of EPPA Polska, will address the topic "Impact of PVC window recycling on CO2 emissions reduction and future energy certificates for buildings."

Practical research by the Gütegemeinschaft Kunststoff-Fensterprofilsysteme has shown that every ton of recycled PVC saves about 2 tons of CO2 emissions compared to using new raw materials. The use of recycled materials saves valuable raw materials and reduces energy consumption for raw material and profile production, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Conference Date: May 24, 2024 (Friday).
Location: YouTube channel of the "Vikonni Tekhnolohii" magazine.
