VEKA Ukraine plans to introduce a new threshold concept to the Ukrainian market. This was announced by the regional representative of the company, Mykola Bondarenko, during the online conference WKC VI: Frontale Edition. The launch is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
VEKA specialists have worked on extending the service life of thresholds. As Mr. Mykola explained, the designers managed to improve the properties of doors through the new technical concept of thresholds.
For the first time, it will be possible to replace protective aluminum and decorative plastic covers without replacing the entire threshold. It is also possible to implement the concept of a single threshold in VEKA systems with widths of 70, 76, and 82 mm, which requires keeping only one position in stock.
The new concept allows for the realization of a barrier-free principle or the so-called "zero" threshold, along with the possibility of arranging a thermal break. Additional profiles have been developed for the correct arrangement of the thermal break and reinforcement of the threshold under dynamic loads.
The basic height of the threshold is 20 mm.
VEKA also announced that in the third quarter of 2024 it plans to introduce the VEKAMOVE 76 sliding system to the Ukrainian market.
