ift Rosenheim simplifies access for European manufacturers to the US market

ift Rosenheim has received additional accreditation from the American National Accreditation & Management Institute (NAMI) in the fields of air and water tightness and wind load resistance, according to the ift Rosenheim press office. This enables testing of products according to American standards ASTM, AAMA and NAFS directly in Europe.

ift Rosenheim is already listed by NAMI under the Insulating Glass Verification Program. This allows European manufacturers to test insulating glass units in their region according to ASTM E 2190, E 2188 and E 2189 standards, without spending time and money on shipping samples to the US. These tests are mandatory for product certification in line with the requirements of the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), which apply to the US market.

With the expansion of ift Rosenheim’s accreditation, the recognised list now also includes testing standards covered by the Structural Certification Program. This means that test results from ift Rosenheim’s equipment are accepted for certification by NAMI.

Manufacturers can therefore significantly reduce logistics costs and obtain certificates for the US market faster.
