The Energy Efficiency Fund reported that the condominium association “Molodi 6” from Lutsk became the first in Ukraine to sign a loan agreement with the Decarbonisation Fund of Ukraine. The funds will be used for a comprehensive energy modernisation of the building under the “Enerhodim” programme.
The project includes insulating the façade and roof, as well as replacing external doors in common areas. According to the energy audit, residents will be able to save more than 682,000 hryvnias per year. Ukrainian-made materials are being used for insulation, which supports domestic manufacturers and promotes the development of a “green” economy.
The total project budget amounts to 12.7 million hryvnias. Of this, 30% will be financed by the Decarbonisation Fund at 9% per annum, with a 12-month payment deferral and a 10-year loan term. The remaining 70% of the cost will be reimbursed by the Energy Efficiency Fund after the completion of the works.
The Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund, Yehor Fareniuk, noted that the partnership with the Decarbonisation Fund expands opportunities for condominium associations:
“Thanks to our partners, Ukrainians gain even more tools for energy modernisation. There is no reason to postpone these steps — now is the time to act. Only together can we make our cities and buildings energy efficient and safe.”
The Energy Efficiency Fund calls on condominium associations across the country to join modernisation programmes, as an energy-efficient building means comfort, lower costs, and greater energy independence.
