Schüco launches second generation of the ASE 70 PD.ME panoramic sliding door system

Schüco Middle East has introduced an updated version of the ASE 70 PD.ME Gen2 panoramic sliding door system — the second generation of the product, featuring narrower profiles and enhanced capabilities for architectural integration.

The system belongs to the Schüco Panorama Design range and is aimed at projects where maximum transparency is paramount: continuous floor-to-ceiling glazing, 31 mm profiles in the rebate zone, and support for glass up to 40 mm thick. The sashes bear loads of up to 500 kg, whilst the system remains easy to operate thanks to an improved locking mechanism.

The ASE 70 PD.ME Gen2 supports up to six parallel tracks and several opening configurations, including a 90° corner opening without a frame profile in the corner zone. The thresholds are flush-level, ensuring an unobstructed transition between interior and exterior.

The system can be combined with Schüco Panorama Design façade systems without a visible connecting profile, keeping the appearance of the façade and door opening consistent throughout. The manufacturer offers several threshold options, a continuous glass corner joint without distracting profiles, and a full-height door handle.

The system has been tested to EN standards and has also been developed with the climatic conditions of the Middle East in mind. Schüco further notes that the ASE 70 PD.ME Gen2 supports both visible-fixings installation and frameless structural glazing.
