Clinker tiles substructure

The system consists of an aluminum load-bearing substructure and stainless steel profiles, specifically designed for the installation of clinker tiles.

These profiles are versatile and accommodate both clinker tiles that do not require grout (dry method) and tiles that require grout for the joints.

Methods for Fixing Clinker Tiles:
Dry Method on Horizontal Profiles: The starter profile is installed first, followed by the tiles, which are secured between profiles. The profiles are fastened with rivets.

Fixing with Grout Mixtures: The tiles are mounted on horizontal profiles as in the dry method, but a perforated strip is inserted between the tiles to hold the grout. After installation, all joints are filled with a sealant of the matching color, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Fixing on KNAUF AQUAPANEL: The method for fixing clinker tiles to KNAUF AQUAPANEL starts with securing the KNAUF AQUAPANEL boards to the vertical profiles using corrosion-resistant screws. Once the KNAUF AQUAPANEL is mounted, a plaster adhesive mixture is applied to the surface of the panel. The clinker tiles are then affixed directly to the adhesive mixture, ensuring a strong and stable bond.

This method ensures that the system provides proper ventilation behind the tiles, preventing moisture accumulation. It also allows for easy maintenance and replacement of tiles if needed, making it a versatile solution for various architectural projects.
