Over the nine months of the project, 442 students and teachers have been trained in the following areas:
- Energy-efficient windows and doors,
- Facade insulation,
- Flat roofs.
The training was based on the learning-by-doing system. During practical training, students modernised their vocational education institutions under the supervision of teachers. More than 180 windows and 10 doors were installed in vocational education institutions affected by Russian aggression. Five vocational schools from Liubotyn, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy cities and Kharkiv Oblast received assistance in the reconstruction.
The initiative “Energy Efficient Educational Institution...” is implemented by the Liudyna Charitable Foundation together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the project “Promoting Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine”, which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the governments of Germany and Switzerland.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, 17 vocational education institutions, together with GIZ, announced the training of window and door installation specialists.
