On September 24, 2024 a number of window companies joined the Association of "Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures," including suppliers of profiles, fittings, glazing, and fasteners, as well as the first specialized platform for the Ukrainian window market, OKNA.ua.
"The effective collaboration of market participants in various areas of the development of transparent structures has been a long-standing necessity. Since the work directions of the Association of 'Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures' largely align with the goals of OKNA.ua — such as sustainable construction, nZEB, the development of the installation market, and exports — we were happy to support the revival of the association from the very beginning," noted OKNA.ua CEO Andrii Lesio.
The Association of "Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures" is the first window association in Ukraine, founded in 2003. After a long hiatus, the announcement of its resumption was made during the WKC Installer 5.0 online conference in October 2023. Over the first nine months of 2024, the Association has taken several important steps aimed at regulating standards, participating in educational projects, and attracting new members.
A representative of the company "BK MaxiBud Engineering" noted that the market had long needed the establishment of a functioning association to unite efforts in the development of the window segment. The company "Würth-Ukraine" added that the market demands quality changes that individual companies cannot achieve alone — this is only possible within the framework of the Association. The company "GLASS TROESCH KYIV" concluded that window companies need equal market conditions and adherence to unified rules.
The Association invites new members to collaborate, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts for the stable development of the market.
Note:
During the general assembly, OKNA.ua, Barks, BK MaxiBud Engineering, Winkhaus Ukraine, Würth-Ukraine, GLASS TROESCH KYIV, Karbosnab, Kleiberit-Ukraine, Vikna-Star Company, and the Gealan Representation in Ukraine joined the Association. Applications were also received and approved from LIVING WOOD UKRAINE (TM Adler), MEEZENBURG UKRAINE, and Reynaers Aluminum.
