Participants will have the opportunity to see how certification of transparent structures — windows and doors — is carried out under real conditions according to European standards (EN 12211, EN 1026, EN 1027). The programme includes live demonstrations of the tests, an introduction to the equipment, recommendations for sample preparation, and a Q&A session with laboratory experts.
Since 2023, Ukraine has enforced the Law “On the provision of construction products on the market,” which obliges manufacturers to confirm performance characteristics through testing in accordance with the European Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011. Without such testing, companies cannot issue a declaration or mark their products with the CE sign, limiting access to the European market.
BM-TEST from Rivne and Kryvbassstandartmetrologiya from Kryvyi Rih participated in the project “Implementation of the export potential of the wood processing sector’s production and sales chain in Ukraine,” implemented by UNIDO with financial support from the Swiss Confederation and the Bern University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland).
The companies received modern European equipment and software to conduct tests for:
- air permeability (EN 1026),
- watertightness (EN 1027),
- wind load resistance (EN 12211),
- and thermal transmittance coefficient U calculation in accordance with EN 10077-1, EN 10077-2.
In January 2025, BM-TEST successfully completed interlaboratory comparative tests with 28 laboratories across Europe, confirming the accuracy of its results.
