On the UK market, profine UK has designed and patented the Toe & Heel device for its PVC-aluminium system brand WarmCore. According to the manufacturer, the device allows the adjustment of sashes without having to remove the glazing unit, which significantly simplifies the installer’s job.
The Toe & Heel is installed in every sash of a bi-fold sliding unit — at the top near the locking side. Its main function is to ensure the correct vertical alignment of the sash. An installer can carry out the adjustment using a 2.5 mm Allen key, without dismantling the glass. This is particularly relevant considering that the glass can shift within the unit over time, and adjustments previously required disassembling the door.
The company recommends that if a WarmCore bi-fold sash requires adjustment, the Toe & Heel procedure should be performed first, followed by hinge adjustments.
