Gretsch-Unitas Deutschland (GU) has transformed its UNI-JET tilt-and-turn hardware into a modular system for windows, balcony doors and thresholds.
Window manufacturers can configure the system to suit their specific requirements. UNI-JET combines several opening types, security levels and threshold options within a single system. This reduces the number of individual components while expanding the range of solutions available for different customer requirements.
Where a higher level of protection is required, manufacturers simply add several specified components to upgrade the window to RC2 or RC3 burglary resistance class. At the same time, the production logic remains unchanged: tools, processes and manufacturing steps do not need to be revised.

During installation, the sash only needs to be positioned once. Fewer movements during installation mean fewer errors and faster fitting, both in the factory and on site.
UNI-JET also supports non-standard window shapes, including raked and arched constructions. Manufacturers can deliver such projects within a single system, without requiring separate technical solutions for each application.
According to the developers, GU designs its tilt-and-turn hardware so that new developments can be integrated into existing systems. New requirements, such as higher sash loads or additional security and comfort functions, can be incorporated into the system without replacing the entire hardware.
For manufacturers, the company positions this approach as eliminating the need to operate old and new systems in parallel, removing the requirement to stock components for discontinued product ranges, and providing long-term stability for production planning.
