Metal-plastic window installation means fitting the window unit into the opening with fixings, forming the installation joint and sealing it to normative requirements.

Proper installation includes levelling the unit, fixing it with anchors or mounting plates and building a three-layer installation joint: a vapour barrier inside, thermal insulation in the middle and a vapour-permeable layer outside. This prevents draughts and condensation.
