A sliding system is a glazed structure in which the sashes move along guide rails, saving space compared with casement windows and doors.
Sliding systems can be aluminium (cold or with a thermal break) or PVC; they are used to glaze balconies, loggias, terraces and summer areas. The sashes move on rollers in guide rails, and the level of thermal and sound insulation depends on the profile and the type of infill — from single glazing to an insulating glass unit.
