German company superview GmbH has introduced a sliding system without visible frames. The premiere took place at the BAU 2023 construction exhibition.
The main feature of the frameless sliding door is its welded construction made of PVC, glass, steel and aluminium. According to superview GmbH, the hybrid technology is as robust and secure as traditional metal models. But, the construction is lighter. It has a patented load transfer system. The company says, Superview doors provide protection against extreme conditions such as wind, rain and burglary attempts.
The Superview sliding system is positioned as an opportunity to ensure maximum transparency in rooms. More glazing area, more natural light, less artificial light.
Another German company has developed a double-glazed window with an aluminium grille for roofs to maximise the use of daylight.
