The German company SIEGENIA has introduced the BS 3700 automatic multi-point locking system, which is suitable for doors made of any material. The feature of this system is the built-in self-regulating mechanism with locking elements and hooks. There is no need for door adjustments on-site due to critical installation points or temperature effects. According to the company, this offers door manufacturers additional value by saving time and money.
When the locking elements stop before reaching the final position, they are secured by a back pressure protection device. This keeps the door panel in place and ensures reliable locking. The automatic extension of the hook by 20 mm and the main lock also provides a high level of security even with a minimal lock depth of 35 mm.
If necessary, electromechanical door opening can be installed. Optional additional functions, such as automatic door opening or a protective lock, can be used in any combination. A day opening mode can also be set after the door is installed.
The hardware brand Winkhaus has solved another problem by releasing a generation of door locks specifically for dark-colored entrance doors.
