Schüco integrates IoF ID system for creating a digital twin into all new products

Schüco Polska has announced that the IoF ID digital identification system is now integrated into all new window, door, façade, and sliding systems of the brand. This refers to a unique QR code that provides access to all information: technical documentation, certificates, warranties, service history, and more.

The IoF ID system (Internet of Façades ID) turns windows, doors, and façades into digital components of a building. A small label with a QR code on the element allows components to be identified and their installation, maintenance, and certification history to be viewed.

Thanks to integration with SchüCal and LogiKal software, manufacturers can create digital twins during the production process.

Digital identification enables users to:
  • Verify the construction materials, carbon footprint, and available certificates.
  • Access data on warranties, certifications, and CE compliance.
  • Submit an electronic repair request via the system.
  • Make informed recycling decisions based on material composition.

Digital tools like IoF ID influence transparency and accountability standards in the industry. It’s not just about convenience, but also about fostering sustainable window manufacturing and ensuring oversight of energy-efficient glazing and profile systems.

REHAU Window Solutions has also recently introduced its own digital window identifier – Window.ID.
