HEGLA Group has announced its entry into the wet processing and glass processing market following the signing of an agreement with RS technology, under which all shares of the company will be transferred to HEGLA. This was stated in an official announcement by HEGLA Group.
After completion of the transaction, the company will operate under the name HEGLA-RS technology. The production of glass processing equipment and water treatment systems will remain at the site in Fürth near Nuremberg, Germany.
As a result of the agreement, HEGLA is expanding its product portfolio and will be able to offer equipment for edge processing, drilling, milling of flat glass, and dome cutting.
RS technology, together with HEGLA Group, will focus on the development of integrated automated systems and will use HEGLA’s international sales network.
“We are pleased to be working with Mr Stimpfig and the RS technology team,” said HEGLA Group Managing Director Jochen H. Hesselbach.
Friedrich Stimpfig explained that the decision had been maturing for a long time, and that HEGLA had become a strong partner with an international presence. According to him, the cooperation also guarantees reliable spare parts supply and fast service through the HEGLA network.
HEGLA Group was founded in 1976 by the Hesselbach and Glaser families. Today, the group employs around 750 people. The company develops and manufactures equipment for glass storage, cutting, sorting and processing, as well as ERP and MES software.
RS technology has been operating since 1932. The plant in Fürth produces machines for cutting, breaking, grinding and polishing glass, as well as equipment for drilling and milling flat glass.
