The Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures (UMTS) has received a positive opinion from the National Agency of Qualifications regarding the draft professional standard “Installer of window and door systems”. This was reported by the Executive Director of УВСК, Mykhailo Orlenko.
The opinion of the National Agency of Qualifications (NAQ) confirmed that the developers prepared the document in compliance with the current Procedure for the development and implementation of professional standards. The Agency approved the opinion by Decision No. 5 dated 24 December 2025.
In the text, the NAQ noted that during the preparation of the draft, UMTS complied with the requirements of Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 373 as amended on 30 May 2025.
After receiving the opinion, the Association plans to approve the standard by its own order and register it with the NAQ. In parallel, the team is preparing the stage of linking the standard to training programmes and qualification validation tools within the national WindowED project.
Mykhailo Orlenko thanked the participants involved in the development and everyone who provided comments during the public consultation. According to him, joint work will help establish unified requirements for the profession and improve the quality of installation in the sector.
Within WindowED, the association Українські виробники світлопрозорих конструкцій is building a complete training chain for the production and installation of transparent structures, so that the industry receives qualified specialists.
