Polish company Aluron, in cooperation with SIEGENIA, has integrated the fully concealed Drive Axxent LS electric drive into its AS 178HS series lift-and-slide patio doors. Aluron announced this in its press centre.
Drive Axxent LS automatically opens, closes and locks the door. The manufacturer installs the drive components inside the construction, so there are no visible mechanism components on the outer surfaces of the frame and sash.
The drive is compatible with the Aluron AS 178HS PRO SLIM and AS 178HS MODERN systems. It operates sashes weighing up to 400 kg. For sashes weighing up to 250 kg, the maximum travel speed is 140 mm/s. The lifting cycle takes 3 seconds.
Aluron has designed Drive Axxent LS for Scheme A doors with a symmetrical configuration and one moving sash. The construction has three locking points. The running rail is 5 mm high.
Electronic anti-trap protection monitors the movement of the sash. In the event of a power failure, the battery provides up to 120 opening and closing cycles, according to Aluron.
The maximum stated dimensions of the construction with the drive are 2,800 mm in height and 6,800 mm in width. Aluron also notes that only a small amount of milling is required when preparing the profiles. The soft-close mechanism is installed and programmed during door production.
