Compensation for creating an inclusive workplace can be obtained through Diia

The programme of compensation for workplace accessibility for people with disabilities is evolving. Employers can now receive compensation through Diia. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
Previously, employers had to apply to the regional employment centre.

The programme was introduced in August 2023. Under its terms, the employer can receive compensation for the arrangement of a workplace for employed persons with disability group I - up to UAH 106.5 thousand, with disability group II - up to UAH 71 thousand. Previously, the amounts were UAH 100.5 thousand and UAH 67 thousand, respectively.

To receive compensation through the Diia portal, you must
  • log in to the Diia portal using a QES;
  • Fill in an application form: provide information about the person with a disability and the equipped workplace;
  • attach documents confirming employment, purchase of auxiliary aids and a certificate from the medical and social expert commission on the employee's disability;
  • indicate the IBAN of your account;
  • sign the application by the CEP.

According to Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy, 102 jobs were created under the programme in 2023. The plan for 2024 is to create at least 10,000 new jobs for people with disabilities.
