On July 1, 2014, VEKA AG fully acquired the shares of GEALAN Fenster-Systeme GmbH. VEKA allowed GEALAN to develop independently. This year, the profile system manufacturers for windows and doors are celebrating the anniversary of their successful partnership.
"It was a very right decision to integrate GEALAN into the two-brand strategy, which led to many positive shifts in both companies of the entire Group," evaluated the cooperation Andreas Hartleif, CEO of VEKA Group.
According to GEALAN, over the ten years of cooperation, the number of employees increased by 40%, and the group's sales grew by 70%.
"The trust that VEKA showed us ten years ago was not taken for granted. Once again, a big thank you to the Hartleif family and their team! We were able to develop the GEALAN brand on par with the VEKA brand during sometimes challenging years. Looking back, the development of the GEALAN Group shows me that this decision was the right one," commented GEALAN board member Ivica Maurović.
Thanks to the partnership, the VEKA Group was able to combine its competencies and solutions across the entire value chain of windows and doors, strengthening its competitive position globally.
