In the glass manufacturing market, accuracy is crucial. Even minor distortions can affect the quality and integrity of the final product. This is where the Osprey pre-quality control system from LiteSentry-Softsolution comes in. It will be presented at the specialized exhibition glasstec 2024.

Typically, mechanical sensors or linear scanning cameras are used to measure glass distortions, which can only provide a partial understanding of potential defects. Osprey takes a step forward with its 2D Area Scan technology, allowing for the simultaneous analysis of distortions in all directions.

The system can detect defects such as roller waves, edge lifting, or central bends— all of which can impact glass quality.

During the glass manufacturing process, various external factors, such as vibrations, uneven rollers, or conveyor slipping, can distort measurement results. However, Osprey is equipped with a system that "freezes" the movement of the glass before imaging, ensuring accurate and stable results, even under unfavorable conditions.
