The Italian company Adelio Lattuada showcased at Vitrum 2025 a special model of the TLR 12 C PC grinding machine – Special Edition. The equipment is designed for glass edge processing and combines predictive maintenance, full IoT integration, advanced automation software, and energy consumption monitoring.
The machine is equipped with the A-WR system (automatic adjustment of wheels / grinding / polishing tools with an accuracy of 0.01 mm without the use of test glass) and the i-AL package, which handles the setup of processing parameters. Therefore, the operator only needs to enter the glass thickness – other settings are made automatically. This minimises the need for manual control and is suitable for medium and large-scale production.
Particular attention at the company’s booth was drawn to the Lattuada-Knittel robotic line, which includes the grinding machine and a KUKA robot on the seventh axis for glass loading/unloading. This system achieves productivity of up to 130 m² per hour and requires only one operator.
At Vitrum 2025, this robotic line won the Best Tech Awards in the Robots & Automation category.
