Glas Trösch Ukraine, a subsidiary of the Swiss company Glas Trösch, is increasing its production capacity. In February, the company unloaded and is installing two glass processing lines. This was announced by Serhiy Sorokun, CEO of Glas Trösch Ukraine, at the WINDO KYIV Conference IV.
The new equipment will be introduced at the Bila Tserkva and Kamianske glass tempering production. Bila Tserkva is home to the production facility that was located in Kyiv until the summer of 2022. The move was scheduled for 24 February 2022, and despite the full-scale russian invasion, the Glas Tresh (Euroglas) team managed to make it happen.
Mr Sorokun also noted that the company has managed to overcome the glass shortage and the price has stabilised. The window industry has been facing a glass shortage since the pandemic. Now Glas Trösch produces double-glazed windows from European components. They work almost exclusively with their own Euroglas glass, which is produced in Poland. Float glass producer Euroglas was integrated into the Glas Trösch group in 2010.
