The PVC profile system manufacturer VEKA has obtained ISCC PLUS certification for its headquarters in Sendenhorst, Germany. ISCC PLUS is a voluntary certification system for sustainable biomass (bio-PVC) and recycled materials, ensuring supply chain traceability.
Initially valid for the Netherlands, the certification supports Dutch partners in documenting and certifying environmentally friendly window and door profiles. According to the company, the Netherlands is already one of the first European markets to work with ISCC PLUS.
The system is designed to trace materials from various sources throughout the processing chain. In the certification model chosen by VEKA, this is based on mass balance. Simply put, it ensures that the amount of bio-PVC supplied by VEKA matches the amount delivered to partners in the form of profiles.
Josef Leo Beckhoff, Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing at VEKA, emphasized:
"Thanks to ISCC PLUS certification, our partners can position themselves as future-oriented sustainability providers, meeting the growing demands in the construction sector."
ISCC PLUS allows companies to voluntarily demonstrate the environmental origin of biological raw materials.
