The Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association Acimall summed up the results of 2022. The year was positive for the Italian industry. But, the last quarter worsened the balance of the year.

According to Acimall, total production reached €2.646 billion. This is 4.6% more than the previous record of 2021.
Exports amounted to €1.757 billion, which is 1% more than the previous year.
Sales on the Italian market amounted to €889 million. They increased by 12.1% compared to 2021.
Imports also increased by 5.3% and reached €257 million.

The companies repeated the successful results of the last two years against the background:
  • the effects of the pandemic,
  • russia's invasion of Ukraine,
  • soaring energy prices,
  • the closure of some markets,
  • the enduring difficulty to provision components and raw materials.
