Master's course in energy efficiency to be developed in Ukraine

The University of Genoa (Italy), in cooperation with the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, is launching a new educational project UKRENERGY. They plan to create master's courses in energy efficiency and decarbonisation. This initiative is being launched as part of the European Union's ERASMUS+ programme.

The development of the curriculum will start this year, after the European and Ukrainian partners have agreed on the tasks. It will include the creation of modern laboratories and the development of teaching materials for engineers and scientists.
The course will aim to train specialists in energy efficiency, building renovation and energy planning.

Partners among Ukrainian higher education institutions:
  • Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture;
  • Lviv National Agrarian University;
  • Lviv Polytechnic National University;
  • National Transport University;
  • Odessa National Economic University;
  • Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture;
  • Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture;
  • Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology.

The Universita Degli Studi Di Genova and Universita Degli Studi Della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (Italy), Akademia Gorniczo-Hutnicza Im. Stanislawa Staszica w Krakowie (Poland) and Slovenska Technicka Univerzita v Bratislave (Slovakia) will help implement European practices and knowledge.
