The topic of sustainability will once again raise at the WKC Installer 5.0 Ukrainian professional conference. VinylPlus CEO Thomas Hulsmann will present the successful European voluntary commitment programme for the PVC industry on 20 October 2023.
The VinylPlus® programme works to improve the sustainability of PVC. PVC is one of the most widely used plastics with a wide range of applications and a long service life. It is used to make window profiles, pipes, flooring, cables, sports equipment, furniture and a number of medical devices. PVC can be recycled many times over, and VinylPlus is working to do just that.
For example, as part of the VinylPlus programme, the EU industry voluntarily phased out the use of lead stabilisers and reported a successful completion of the process in 2015. And this year, the European Union banned PVC products containing lead from its markets.
Thomas Hulsmann will tell more about the successes of VinylPlus’ sustainability programme.
