The Schüco SensTrack sensor, which monitors the status of window systems (whether they are open or closed), does not require an external power source from the grid or batteries. Its shape resembles a locking point.
The kinetic energy needed to transmit monitoring data is generated during the opening and closing of the window. Turning the window handle activates the hardware and moves the locking roller. This triggers an EnOcean signal with information about the window's status, which is then wirelessly sent to a receiving terminal.
The Schüco SensTrack wireless sensor is embedded in the hardware groove, making it invisible. This concealed installation does not affect the appearance of the window.
Another interesting window sensor is offered by Winkhaus. Their Winkhaus Control is a true early warning system. It triggers an alarm within the first few seconds of a burglar's tampering, not after the intruder has entered the house.
The Schüco SensTrack sensors were released in 2021. Schüco Ukraine reported that the product became available in 2022.
