The German company Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH has combined components to create a "comfort window" that enhances usability for people with disabilities and in certain situations.
The "comfort hardware" includes an extended window handle. The increased length of the handle creates a greater lever effect, requiring less effort to open the window. The handle is attached to the lower horizontal profile of the sash, making it easier to reach, for example, over furniture or for wheelchair users. The "comfort scissors" and locking device also ensure easy opening and closing.
The special Roto NX hardware components are available for profile systems with a 16 mm groove. They enable the production of tilt-and-turn comfort windows.
It is worth noting that there is currently a compensation program in Ukraine for creating accessible workplaces for employees with disabilities of groups I and II.
