As noted by BarkS Director Valeriy Kotlyar, there is currently no professional standard for ventilated facade system installers in Ukraine. This means there are no educational institutions preparing specialists in this field. Therefore, it is important for professionals in the transparent structures market to participate in the discussion and development of the standard.
The draft professional standard 7139 "Facade and Transparent Structures Installation Specialist" defines:
- the key job functions of a facade and transparent structures installer;
- the unified requirements for professional competencies;
- the knowledge, skills, communication, responsibility, and autonomy required to perform job functions.
Comments and suggestions will be accepted according to the regulations until January 4, 2025. As Mr. Kotlyar mentioned, the discussion period may be extended if necessary.
Based on this professional standard, the Ministry of Education will be able to develop an educational standard and program for educational institutions to prepare specialists. As stated by the Director of the Association, Mykhailo Orlenko, this standard is also needed to create a training and practical center, as previously announced.
