RCN Solutions, an Italian manufacturer of glass processing equipment, patented a technology for cleaning glass edges after lamination. RD Clean Concept System is patented in Italy. And an international patent is in progress.
RD Clean Concept prevents the EVA film layer from extending beyond the glass edges during lamination. So, the last step in the production of safety glass, manual cleaning of the glass edges, doesn't necessary.
As the owner of the company Davide Ricchi noted in an interview with Glassonline.com, there is also no leakage from the edges of the glass when multiple layers of EVA are added. The tests were carried out with six layers. The company guarantees the result with a triplex thickness of up to 100 mm.
The System does not need to replace the laminating furnace. It is installing on the existing furnace.
Safety glass in double-glazed windows is more important than ever in Ukraine. Triplex glued into the sash from the inside increases the stability of the window in the event of a shock wave.
