The roof window manufacturer VELUX Group has presented its new collection of blinds. The Nature Collection is made from recycled materials. It has a 50% lower carbon footprint. This was reported in the company's press centre.
The blind profiles are made of Hydro CIRCAL 75R aluminium, which contains at least 75% recycled aluminium scrap. And the textiles consist of 50% recycled textiles. And by 2023, the company plans to increase this figure to 100% recycled textiles.
Also, the packing does not contain plastic and is made of FSC-certified cardboard. This helps to reduce waste and ensure a more environmentally friendly approach to the product.
All VELUX blinds are assembled at the company's European production facilities, which ensures high quality and production standards.
With these new Nature Collection blinds, VELUX continues its commitment to creating environmentally friendly and durable products.
In March 2022, the company also announced that it will cease operations in russia and belarus.
