Saint-Gobain sells its Slovakian glass business

On 1 September 2023, Saint-Gobain completed the sale of its glass processing business in Slovakia. The company's press centre has reported it. The sale is part of Saint-Gobain's strategy to optimise its business profile.

Glassolutions, in western Slovakia, will now operate as an independent division of GLASORA a.s.
In 2022, the company generated revenues of around €20 million and employs 150 people.

The sale is part of Saint-Gobain's strategy to optimise its business profile. In March of this year, the company signed a binding agreement to sell its glass processing facility in Switzerland, and in the third quarter of 2023, it is expected to complete the sale of the glass business in Portugal. Saint-Gobain also sold its French glass processing business in September 2022.
