20 October 2023 Ivan Bohdan, CEO of Winkhaus Ukraine, will tell how windows should be in case of window conflicts at the conference. Winkhaus is the general partner of the Ukrainian conference WKC Installer 5.0.
According to Ivan Bohdan, before the full-scale Russian aggression, the main characteristics of windows were energy efficiency, burglary resistance or sound insulation. But war has its own view on windows. And during the conference, WINKHAUS will tell more about explosion-proof windows not only from theoretical but also, and very importantly, from practical experience.
The UN Department of Safety and Security reports that 80% of civilians suffer from primary and secondary fragmentation during large-scale bombings. This includes shrapnel from shells and rockets, their ammunition, debris from buildings, stones and glass. And of all the types of shrapnel, flying glass caused 80% of injuries and deaths. This is due to the fact that glass is weaker than other building components, such as walls or columns, and is the most used building element in modern urban architecture.
