Saint-Gobain, a global leader in the production and sale of building materials and glass, is entering Ukraine to produce dry building mixes. The company invests in the construction of a plant in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The foundation stone is laid.
A plant for the production of gypsum mixtures and dry plasters is being built by the Ukrainian company Troianski Hipsy with investments from Saint-Gobain. According to the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the plant will produce 100,000 tonnes of building mixtures per year. The raw materials will come from the Khotymyr gypsum deposit.
In March 2022, the multinational Saint-Gobain Corporation stopped exporting to and importing from russia and belarus. However, local factories are now operating, albeit at a minimum. According to the company's statement, the reason was sanctions.
