Soudal has introduced a new installation material, MF 167, which combines thermal insulation and internal sealing of window joints. This means that a three-level sealing system is achieved with just two components, reducing the amount of work required.
Over the past year, the new product has been showcased to professionals at specialised exhibitions.
Since MF 167 allows for internal sealing without additional sealing layers, only the external sealing requires a separate product. Soudal offers three options: the SWS Outside Extra window tape, Soudatight Hybrid sealant, or Soudaband Pro BG 1 compression tape. All options have been tested by ift Rosenheim.
Another advantage of MF 167 is its suitability for joints with variable dimensions. This makes it particularly convenient for renovation projects, where uneven reveals are common.
