Round hole in a double-glazed window offered as a natural ventilation system

Ublo in cooperation with Swisspacer has created a natural ventilation system for rooms. The product was first introduced in Hong Kong and South Korea and will now be available in Europe.

The round module has a diameter of 150 mm and is built directly into the glass unit. It can be installed on single glass, double and triple glazing. The maximum thickness of the triple glazing is 48 mm.
The module is made of polycarbonate and has spacers with SWISSPACER warm edges. Depending on the requirements, it can be installed at the top or bottom of the insulating glass unit.

The module cover can be transparent or made of different materials: wood, metal, and cork. It is completely removable. It can be hooked into a hook in the opening and left hanging.

The new concept has proved particularly successful in rooms with blind windows. Due to the small size of the opening, the danger of falling disappears. The developers also talk about minimizing the risk of burglary.
For architects, this is a new opportunity to create structures without sashes and imposts.

In the future, Ublo plans to make the system smart, for example, to inform users about the need to open/close windows.
